Activities Inside Balloon Fiesta Park

🎡 Activities Inside Balloon Fiesta Park – 2025 Balloon Fiesta

🏆 Balloon Competitions

All official competitions are fly-in tasks, where pilots launch at least one mile from the field and try to hit designated ground targets with weighted markers.
Competition formats include:

  • Judge Declared Goal (JDG): Pilots aim to drop their marker closest to the center “X.”

  • Hesitation Waltz: Multiple X’s on the field; pilots choose one target and aim for the center.

  • Double Drop (Minimum or Maximum): Two large triangles with an X between them — pilots drop markers in each triangle; the smallest or largest distance wins.

  • Sid Cutter Memorial Task: Pilots attempt to drop their marker into a small boat placed on the field.

  • Ring Toss: On Thursday and Friday, pilots attempt to loop a 25-foot pole with a 14-inch plastic ring; cash prizes are shared if more than one pilot scores on the same pole.
