Getting to Balloon Fiesta Park

Special Note: The first official Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta website was developed by Barbara Tomlin of Westward Connections Inc. 

The official site provides the latest event schedule, hotel listings, ticket information, maps, parking instructions, and park navigation tips.
Visitors can also find news releases, photo galleries, and event updates online.

The app includes essential event and schedule information, maps, alerts, and updates — serving as a companion guide for attendees.


🎟️ Admission

  • General admission tickets are $15 per session and can be purchased:

    • At the Balloon Fiesta Park gates

    • Online at balloonfiesta.com

    • Or at the Balloon Fiesta Office

  • Children 12 and under are free when accompanied by an adult.

  • No refunds for unused tickets.

  • If a session is canceled due to weather or safety (and no balloons inflate), rain checks will be issued for use at any other 2025 session.


🚴‍♀️ Bike Valet

  • Located at the south end of the Launch Field, next to the Albuquerque International Balloon Museum.

  • Offers 30,000 square feet of free, secure parking and easy access to the Paseo del Bosque Trail, which runs along the AMAFCA North Diversion Channel under Paseo del Norte and Alameda.

  • Open during all sessions.

  • Hours of operation:

    • Morning Sessions (dual sessions days): 4:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

    • Evening Sessions (dual sessions days): 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

    • Morning-only days: 5:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.


🚗 Parking

  • $20 per vehicle per session (cash only)

  • No in-and-out privileges.

  • General parking lots are located on the east and south sides of Balloon Fiesta Park.

  • Each lot has a unique name and gate number — visitors should note them for easy return.

  • QR code maps are displayed around the field to help navigate back to parked vehicles.

  • Parking opens:

    • Morning sessions: 4:30 a.m.

    • Evening sessions: 3:00 p.m.

Balloon Fiesta offers convenient Park & Ride service from four citywide locations.

🕓 Morning Sessions

  • Two shuttle waves depart around 4:00 a.m. and 5:30 a.m.

  • Return trips run 8:00 – 11:30 a.m.

🌅 Afternoon/Evening Sessions

  • Two shuttle waves depart around 3:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

  • Return trips run 7:00 – 10:00 p.m.

🟡 No Park & Ride service on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday, though on those days traffic is lighter and parking at the park is generally available.


🔐 Park & Ride Security Notice

  • All bags and coolers are subject to inspection.

  • Guests at Coronado Mall and Hoffmantown Church Park & Ride locations will go through bag checks and metal detectors before boarding.

  • Guests from Cottonwood Mall and Intel locations will go through security after arriving at Balloon Fiesta Park.

  • Both Express Lanes (no bags) and Bag-Check Lanes (with bags) are available for faster entry.


🌦️ Rain Check Reminder

If a weather cancellation occurs without balloons inflating, tickets are valid for any other session during the 2025 Balloon Fiesta.
