New Mexico Day — Monday, October 6, 2025
In appreciation of New Mexico residents’ ongoing support of the Balloon Fiesta, Monday, October 6, 2025, will be celebrated as New Mexico Day at Balloon Fiesta Park.
Free Admission Details:
-
New Mexico residents who present a photo ID or utility bill showing a New Mexico address receive free admission to all flying events that day.
-
Active-duty military personnel are also admitted free with a valid military ID.
-
Children 12 and under are always free when accompanied by an adult.
-
Note: Free admission does not include parking fees.
This tradition honors the strong relationship between the Balloon Fiesta and its home state and offers an opportunity for New Mexicans to experience the event at no cost for that day’s sessions.
🌦️ Raincheck Policies
The Balloon Fiesta does not issue refunds for unused tickets. However, rain checks are provided if a flying session must be canceled due to weather or safety reasons — but only when no balloons have inflated.
Ticket Reuse Rules:
-
General Admission:
Retain your ticket. If a session is canceled, the ticket remains valid for entry to any other session of the 2025 Balloon Fiesta.
For e-tickets, the system automatically reactivates them for future use. -
Gondola Club Tickets:
Once processed, these tickets are nonrefundable, but they can be used as a raincheck for general admission to another 2025 session.
The Gondola Club remains open even when flights are canceled, offering buffet and entertainment access. -
Park & Ride Tickets:
Transportation costs are nonrefundable, but these tickets can also serve as rain checks for general admission at another 2025 session.
Guests may purchase “bus only” tickets online for $13 to attend a replacement session, subject to availability.
